Managing Attendance manually is time consuming especially when number of students is more. In this research paper, we propose a system that will not only save time but also save the effort of the faculty members during the attendance. Adopting this method will speed up the process of taking attendance and save more time for lecture. This proposed system record attendance using video and stored attendance details in CSV file. CSV will contain data in two columns first column contain name and second column contain time. In this system faces will be recognized from video using OpenCV and video will be captured using web camera, main step in system is face detection and recognition based on images stored in database/folder.

This proposed system is a step towards atomization of manual attendance taking procedure. All the tools and libraries used to develop this proposed system are Python, OpenCV, NumPy, Face Recognition. This system will be providing higher accuracy towards the facial recognition from the captured video.
