Abstract

In supporting the increase and productivity of the chicken farming business, in addition to paying attention to the ration and drinking water, the quality of the cage also needs to be considered. The selection of a location that is far from residents' housing is a location that is often chosen to build a chicken coop. Locations that are far from residential areas allow predatory animals to become one of the obstacles for livestock business owners which results in the death of livestock because they are preyed upon by wild animals. This study aims to secure livestock from predators by making traps so that predatory animals can be trapped. This security system uses Internet Of Things (IoT) technology in order to provide data information in real time when the predatory animal is trapped in a trap, when a power outage occurs, the system will receive electrical energy from solar power. PIR sensors are used to detect the movement of trapped predators, ESP32-CAM as a microcontroller to process and send data to smartphones/PCs and solar panels to store energy from sunlight. The results of this study are a security system that can detect trapped predators and an automatic light system that can provide information in the form of text and photos. With this system, it is expected to provide convenience and comfort for chicken farm business owners.
