Comparison of Various IOT based devices for Women Safety

Abstract


Estimates published by World Health Organization [WHO] indicate that globally about 1 in 3(30%) of women worldwide have been subjected to either physical and/or sexual violence.Women feel unsafe travelling alone be it night or broad daylight. Nowadays, there is morenews of harassment of women than their achievements. In a world where women feelhandicapped and need to protect themselves from everyone and anyone, many technologieshave been introduced for keeping them away from kidnapping, sexual harassment, teasingthat take place regularly. In this paper, we will mainly focus on devices like wearables forexample pendant, watches, jackets, key chain,charms, and rings rather than apps( due to itslimitation, for example: forgetting to carry the phone). This paper will propose a comparisonbetween various smart gadgets made for women's safety. The comparison will not onlyinclude the technology and the system but also the advantages, the disadvantages and theprice. After the comparison, the authors' aim is to find the best gadget among the comparedones for women's safety and suggest technologies, systems that can help improve it.
