Abstract

Language learning not only requires a concept of the nature of language but demands a view of language learners and language teaching materials. Sociolinguistics and ecolinguistics are studies of applied language sciences that can be used as an approach in the Javanese language learning model. Sociolinguistics as an applied linguist in language teaching relates to linguistic phenomena that arise from both internal or external structures in society as well as their contribution to the design of learning devices. Furthermore, through these ecolinguistic parameters, it is described that the language environment is a social environment where language and every living language speaker interact, interrelated and interdependence with fellow interpreters and of course with nature or the environment. Various forms of Banyumas Javanese lingual codes on the 'content' of the environment with the diversity of local resources can be a foothold in the life of Banyumas people as one of the efforts to defend the language. Therefore, it is necessary to promote collaboration between sociolinguistic learning and environmentally based language development models seen from an ecolinguistic perspective. In this case, the diversity and diversity of Banyumas Javanese language that represents biodiversity in certain environments can be an effort to conserve the local language. One example is the concept of learning through a socio-ecolinguistic approach that is expected to respond to the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 and community 5.0 in the learning process in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic. This developed design has the characteristic of focusing on the development of language competencies (language skills) through a communicative approach by paying attention to aspects of socio-cultural diversity. This collaboration of learning through sociolinguistic and ecolinguistic studies aims to understand the interaction of language and its environment. Through lexicons in the environment, it can be used as a reveal of local wisdom for the preservation of language and the environment. The development of learning with the use of the Banyumas Javanese-language echo lexicon is proclaimed to enrich and improve the insight, experience, knowledge, and mastery of environmental materials.
