Application of the Flipped Classroom Model to improving Students' Active Role in Distance Learning

Abstract
This study aims to 1) produce a design learning that implements the Flipped Classroom learning model and 2) describe student activities in learning. This was done because of the complaints of students in the implementation of Learning from home at SMAN 2 Gedongtatan which teacher-centered learning. Descriptive research method with learning design refers to the ASSURE model. The research object was 29 students in class X MIPA-1. Data analysis was done by calculating the percentage of students' learning activities based on WAG which included mental activity and emotional activity of students. this research finds that 1) the implementation of the flipped classroom model includes three syntaxes, provide material before learning, discussion, question and answer and confirmation of understanding of the subject matter during learning through WAG, and collecting assignments after learning; 2) Increased learning activities of Class X MIPA-1 students at SMAN 2 Gedongtataan which were previously was less than 20.69% increased to be good 72.41%, with details of mental activity increasing from 24.14% to 79.31 %, and emotional activity from 17.24% increased to 65.52%. Flipped Classroom learning model can increase the activities of students which is expected to increase the motivation, skills and learning outcomes of students.
