PUB (Pop Up Book): The Implementation Teaching Methods During English Learning At Elementary School to Support The Student's Knowladge

Abstract

The goal of preschool education and basic education for children also designed in accordance with the child's development tasks, so that children are capable achieve their developmental tasks optimally. Pop-up books have the ability to amplify impressions what you want to convey in a material. Especially in learning English for early childhood. Usually, it is easier for children to understand the material using visual. That most of students have difficulty in learning because the teacher uses conventional teaching method. The use of learning media is considered less maximized by teacher (Erwin Putera Permana & Yeny Endah Purnama Sari: 2018). The use of media pop up book on cooperative learning learning model will provide knowledge in a concrete manner and create fun learning, so that it will affect student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to identify and develop visual-based learning media through Pop Up Book media at Elementary School level in learning English. This type of research is using the R&D (Research and Development) from qualitative research. This is to get the result of the needs analysis learning material identifying flora and fauna or he materials based the lesson using pop up book. The result of this research is pop up book media is a media that has three elements dimensions. Pop-up books have the ability to amplify impressions what you want to convey in a material so that it makes the material easier to remember and learn.
