However, there are some difficulties for teachers to ask or to stimulatestudents to speak in English. In addition, in this pandemic covid-19 also has the barriers for the students to get the knowledge face to face. The study was conducted in some of students in Lambung Mangkurat University. A quasi-experimentaldesign was employed for this study. The study involved four classes of second semester which were divided into two groups; experimental group and control group. Data were collected through pretest and posttest and the research sample was selected by the cluster random technique. The data were analyzed by using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 16 for Windows. The calculation result of independent t-test on post-test scores showed that t-value -0.242 was lower than t-table 1.647 (N: 53 and Critical Value: 0.05) which means the video and story jumper treatment had improved the students' speaking ability.
