Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of creative thinking skills of class IX A and IX G students in solving story problems on the Pythagorean theorem material. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study included students in grades IX A and IX G, each of which consisted of 15 students. The form of the instrument used is the provision of tests and student response questionnaires whose validity has been tested. The results of data analysis on the level of creative thinking abilities of class IX A students show that there are 13.3% of students in the very high category, 40% of students in the high category, 33, 3% of students in the medium category, 13.3% of students in the low category, and 0% of students in the very low category. Meanwhile for class IX G there are 0% students in the very high category, 0% students in the high category, 6.7% students in the medium category, 86.7% students in the low category, and 6.7% students in the very low category. The conclusion of this research shows that the level of creative thinking ability of class IX A students is able to reach the very high category, while for class IX G students are only able to achieve in the medium category.
