Abstract

This purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dumbbell side lunges and dumbbell walking on the leg power of male futsal player at SMA N 1 Ambarawa. This study uses an experimental method with a “two groups pre-test-post-test design”. The population in this study was futsal extracurricular at SMA N 1 Ambarawa with a male sample of 24 people. Sampling in this study was conducted by purposive sampling, with the criteria (1) players who are still actively participating in extracurricular futsal training at SMA N 1 Ambarawa, (2) male, (3) attendance at the time of treatment is at least 100%, (4) able to follow the planned exercise program from start to finish, (5) not sick. Based on these categories, the sample was given a leg power pretest to determine the treatment group, then divided into two groups using ordinal pairing with each group consisting of 12 people. The test instrument used was a standing board jump. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is a significant effect of dumbbell side lunges exercise on the leg power of male futsal players at SMA N 1 Ambarawa, with the results of t count 11.383> t table 2,200, and a significant effect of dumbbell walking squat on the leg power of male futsal players at SMA N 1 Ambarawa, with the results of t count 7.818 > t table 2.200 and significant 0.000 < 0.05
