This paper explores the use of documentary modes in two television programs, Solusi and Obat Malam, produced by Cahaya Bagi Negeri (CBN). CBN is a broadcast company that focuses on producing religious broadcasts. The main segment of Solusi and Obat Malam TV programs is the docudrama which represents particular meanings. Considering the producer possesses a certain perspective on the documentary, the online interview with the program’s producer manager was conducted to see how documentary modes are used as strategies in the programs to represent meanings. The findings show that the producer’s perspective highlights aspects of documentary modes, including legitimation, significance, participatory, rhetoric, and awareness. These aspects are seen as the most effective strategies to represent religious meanings.
