Abstract
This research is motivated by the opening of the coal market which is getting wider, both for domestic and international markets which has resulted in the exploitation of black gold (coal) in South Kalimantan continuously increasing. The existence of this black gold exploitation leds to strong rejection from the community. This is known from various netizen posts that flooded social media. The purpose of this study is to describe bullying in the case of “black gold gunung meratus” on social media in a forensic linguistic study. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a forensic linguistic approach. The data in this study are utterances identified as bullying utterances posted by netizens on social media, especially Facebook in 2020--2021. The data collection technique used in this study is the listening and note-taking technique. In analyzing the data, pragmatic and semantic theory are also employed. The results of data analysis show that pragmatically and semantically inform that the meaning of the word is lexically and grammatically acceptable as well as the meaning of events implied in the series of words, namely in the form of statements, notifications, and warnings. This research is able to enrich to the theoretical of forensic linguistics and science in general and provide knowledge to the wider community in order to be wiser in using social media so as not to cross the line of the legal field.
