Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine whether writing skills among students at SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung have greatly improved. In this work, a non-equivalent control group was employed in a quasi-experimental approach. Appropriate data gathering methods, such as pre- and post-testing, are used to support this research. The IBM SPSS 20 program and a t-test were used to conduct the analysis. To determine if there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups after the post-test, the t-test was performed. The study's participants were SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung students in the tenth grade. The study's results section reveals that after using the flipped classroom teaching approach, students' writing skills significantly improved. Because the t-count obtained was 3.644 and the t-table at the 5 percent significance level was 2.045, the t-test findings were deemed significant. The computed p-value was 0.001, which is less than 0.05. As a consequence, the alternative hypothesis (H) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The use of the flipped classroom model in the English 10th grade classrooms at SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung was found to have enhanced the writing skills of the students.
