Abstract
Since the 19th century, movie has existed and contributed in enacting the construction of reality. Therefore, movie is believed as the reflection of the reality. This research aims to analyze the existence of the real issue in the movie. A psychological issue, which is suicidal behavior, is discussed as the main topic of this research. The nature of suicidal behavior as an act of the sufferer who has the intention to die. To analyze that, descriptive qualitative research is used as the methodology of the research. Additionally, psychological approach, interpersonal suicide theory, and suicidal behavior theory are used to support the analysis.Suicidal behavior is the psychological issue of literature that is discussed in this current research. Suicidal behavior is actually different from the action of suicide in general, even though suicidal behavior can end up in suicide.Suicidal behavior is often indicated as the risk factors of bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use disorder (alcohol abuse), antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, eating disorder, and adjustment disorder .Freudian PsychoanalysisThis research focuses on the psychological issue as seen in a movie, thus the approach of psychology is used as the fundamental of the research. The term is given to refer to the three elements in the theory of psychoanalysis by Freudian. Generally, Id plays a role as the number of uncoordinated instinctual, ego is the organized and realistic part that mediates the id and the superego, while the superego plays a role as a critical and moral role. According to Freudian psychoanalysis, the Id becomes a psychical province that incorporates instinctual that drives energies.
