Abstract


The 21st century is marked by enormous transformations from a social, economic, political and cultural perspective. All of this is driven by four major interconnected forces, namely advances in science and technology, demographic change, globalization and the environment. Learning literature is one of the lessons that must be mastered by children in schools, both at the elementary to high school levels. This study examines the teaching perspective of synectic literature in the 21st century. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between teaching literature in the textbooks of class X curriculum 2013 towards the 21st century: teaching perspectives of synectic literature. This research is a qualitative research. The method in this research is descriptive. Based on the research results, the use of the synectic model in the 2013 curriculum textbook for class X has not been fully effective in teaching literature. The concept of teaching literature in the 2013 curriculum text book class X is introduction, presentation and discussion. Meanwhile, the concept of synectic teaching is direct analogy, personal analogy, and social analogy.
