Abstract
This study aims to explain the effect of e-learning discovery learning methods on the ability to write student scientific papers. This study used a one-sample t-test statistical data analysis technique. The research subjects of students of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, FS, Pamulang University in the odd academic year 2019/2020 consisted of one class with a total of 25 students in the Scientific Paper Writing Course with a weight of 3 credits. All learning takes place via the website https://e-learning.unpam.ac.id/ and Whatsapp Group. In teaching writing scientific articles, discovery learning method is applied as a learning situation where the main content of what is to be studied is not fully provided, but must be found independently by students so that students become active participants in their learning, namely compiling a scientific article. which deserves to be discussed or published in a national journal. Student learning outcomes use the final score of scientific articles that are made independently using statistical data analysis techniques one sample t-test (one sample t-test). The results of one-sample t-test hypothesis test at the level of α = 5% obtained t count = 166.722> t table = 2.064 or the probability value of Sig. 0.000 <0.05. The results of this study indicate that the average value of student learning outcomes in the Scientific Writing Course on the material of writing scientific articles with the application of the discovery learning method is 81.96 and this value is higher than 75.
