UTILIZATION OF QR-CODE AS A MEDIA FOR LEARNING BASIC MATHEMATICS

Abstract


An interactive learning media is needed to arouse student learning motivation in the 21st century, which demands the presence of technology support during the learning process. One of the appropriate media to generate student learning motivation is to use QR-Code learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning process and student responses in the use of QR-Code as a medium for learning Basic Mathematics. The research method uses descriptive quantitative research methods. In this study, the subject was students of the Suryakancana Cianjur University Mathematics Education Study Program level 1 in the 2018-2019 academic year. The data collection technique was done using a questionnaire instrument. The results of the study were that the learning process in the use of QR-Code as a medium for learning Basic Mathematics went well with the implementation steps of learning the delivery of objectives, delivery of material, discussion using practice questions with QR-Code in the form of a dice, presentation and closing. Student responses are generally positive in using QR-Code in the learning process.
