THE ASSIGNMENT OF MAKING VIDEO OF ERRORS ANALYSIS IN INDONESIAN AS A METHOD TO IMPROVE STUDENT’S INDONESIAN LANGUAGE ABILITY

Abstract
Students' ability in speaking Indonesian properly and correctly still needs to be improved. This requires Indonesian language lecturers as teachers to be able to find the right method so that students' ability to speak Indonesian can improve. One method that can be used as an alternative is the assignment method of making language error analysis videos in public places. This study aims to describe the improvement of error analysis skills in Indonesian with the assignment method of making videos in Indonesian language courses at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This research uses qualitative research with classroom action research design. The objects used for research include place identity boards, posters, billboards, banners, road signs or markings, and other public facility objects. The results in this study were that after doing the task of making language error analysis videos in public places, the students' ability to speak Indonesian properly and correctly improved. This is in accordance with one of the objectives of the Indonesian language course in higher education, namely students can speak Indonesian well and correctly both orally and in writing. In addition, there were several obstacles faced by students in doing the task of making videos, including permitting to document language errors and implementing health protocols in public facilities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
