Abstract


Abstract

This academic paper has novelty about the long-term management policy to include the basic of cultural theories as obligatory course in the classes and universities, especially the paper focus on the reflection of 100th anniversary of Taman Siswa Foundation.

To achieve the purpose of the research, this paper is using qualitative method with the theories of cultural education by Ki Hadjar Dewantara, the founder of Taman Siswa foundation to know deeper about the historiography of Taman Siswa itself, the Cross-Cultural Awareness for Second/Foreign Language Learners concept by Elizabeth M. Knutson to know about the best practices in cross-cultural awareness in the classroom, and the theory of cultural studies by Roland Barthes to beautify this recommendation coming from this paper to be the nice Infographic, to be spread virtually through social media.

The aim of the research is to be an eye opener for education stakeholders in Indonesia, such as teachers, students, and policy makers to prepare the golden year of Indonesia in 2045 and how the Indonesians could be the leaders in the future, by loving their own culture and respecting other cultures.
