Abstract
In pandemic situation, the internet plays an essential role in teaching and learning English. This situation forces both the educators and the learners to use several methods to carry out the teaching and learning process, including Instructional Technology Approaches, to develop learning instruments. English language teaching uses the Instructional Technology Approach with three categories: Hardware Approach, Software Approach, and System Approaches. The aim is about to get the students’ perception of Google Classroom’s use, the benefits, and the obstacles to using Google Classroom. The framework of this study was organized by the researcher by examining students’ perception toward the benefits and obstacles of Google Classroom as online learning platform while distance learning. The researcher used students’ perception on the benefits and the obstacles on the level of the agreement through a way of students’ feeling or acting toward this current situation. In this research, the researcher used qualitative research that focused on word descriptively by using Likert-scale. The questionnaire was given to eleven grade students. The result of this research shows a positive perception of the students while using Google Classroom as a learning platform. However, in this research, the researchers find out some problems in EFL learning by using Google Classroom.
