Abstract
The development of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia is increasing. The data obtained from the Covid-19 Handling Task Forceshows that there were 5,833 new cases of covid-19 per day in April 2021. The government has made efforts, including through public service advertisements regarding the covid-19 virus. The purpose of this study was to find out the perception of public service advertisements regarding the covid-19 virus.This research is quantitative research. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaires via google form to respondents aged 15-60 years who use social media. The data was processed using statistics.From the results of the study, it was known that the characteristics of the respondents in this study are mostly aged 17-30 years. Most of the respondents' last education is D4/S1 and most of the respondents work as teachers/lecturers/government employees.Most of the respondents use social media (whatsapp) and they often access social media. Most respondents access general information on social media and often access information about covid-19 and often share health information on social media.Most respondents also often see public service advertisements regarding covid -19 on social mediaand most of the respondents watched the public service advertisements appearing on social media until the end. The limitation in this study was the time for researchers to conduct in-depth interviews with respondents due to the COVID-19 pandemic so the researchers distributed questionnaires using google forms and online interviews.This research is useful for all circles of society in Indonesia
