Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations made by researchers on soccer athletes at SMA Muhammadiyah Gisting, it was found that soccer athletes made many mistakes when performing basic techniques in football, especially those that were very concerning, namely when performing dribbling skills due to the very rare dribbling test. done. Another problem is that the level of agility of athletes is still relatively slow because the athletes are overweight or underweight, causing the athlete's soccer game at SMA Muhammadiyah Gisting to be not optimal. This research is a correlational study with a correlational approach consisting of two independent variables, namely body mass index (X1) and agility (X2) and one dependent variable, namely soccer dribbling skills (Y). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between body mass index (X1) of 2.2% on dribbling skills (Y) and a significant relationship of 17% between agility (X2) on dribbling skills (Y), then the significant relationship between agility (X2) and dribbling skills (Y). significant 3.5% between body mass index (X1) and agility (X2) on dribbling skills (Y)
