Synthesis and simulation of industrial processes are the essential parts of the course material in Chemical Engineering. The ability to synthesize and simulate the process can increase the ability to solve chemical industry processes, such as reactors, heat exchangers, and separators—the learning method used problem-based learning by solving study cases using the HYSYS software the learning process. Measurement of student academic ability level is measured by achieving learning outcomes of Study Program from case study assessments obtained at the end of the lecture. The results showed that the achievement of Learning Outcomes was 81.2%. HYSYS software can help the learning process of industry process case study in the Chemical Engineering Study Program to achieve the learning outcomes.
