Abstract
The Effect of Quizlet on EFL Learners Vocabulary Transferability : Students’ Perceptions

Increasing vocabulary mastery in English remains essential for students in learning English, especially for students in Mechanical Engineering Department. For engineering students, mastering vocabulary is of great importance for understanding engineering manuals or other Engineering books which mostly written in English. The classical method is considered less effective in increasing vocabulary mastery, hence the emergence of an android-based Quizlet application can solve this problem. This study aims to see the students’ perception of Quizlet efficacy as a self-study in improving their vocabulary mastery related to Engineering English. This study employed a quantitative descriptive approach. The instruments used in this study consists of questionnaires using form by google which is spread to twenty-five students of Mechanical Engineering students at Banjarmasin State Polytechnic. The analysis in this study was carried out descriptively using the implementation of Likert scale. Based on the results of the study, it is known that most students have a positive response to the use of the Quizlet application. The result shows that learning using Quizlet application as an Android-based learning media can improve their vocabulary memorization better. Therefore, there needs to be a paradigm shift in the teaching and learning process to students by taking into account the learning interaction factor.
