Abstract


This study aims at scrutinizing gender role and attitude of English Department Students in Online Class Discussion. This research mainly uncovers the questions related to the difference and causes on gender role and attitude of 31 students in Discourse Analysis Online Class. The data will be qualitatively analyzed by listing, naming, categorizing, and determining the answer of research questions based on the theory related including the students’ responses and interactions in online class discussion. Data will be collected through observation on students’ online class discussion, questionnaire of and interview with 31 students of English Department. The results of the elicited problems will reveal gender role and attitude during class discussion based on psychological aspect, personality and emotion which can cause differences between two genders: female and male students.
