Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic changed the direction of education policy in Indonesia. Lectures that were initially offline turned online learning caused the lecture process and student responses during the lecture process to experience drastic changes. This is what motivates the researcher to analyze the online teaching and learning process in the low-grade mathematics learning course. The purpose of this study was to analyze the process and students’ response to online lectures in the low-grade mathematics learning course during the Covid-19 pandemic. The second semester students of the Primary Teacher Education Study Program amounted to 30 participants who were the subjects in this study through purposive sampling technique. This research is categorized in descriptive qualitative research with the data collection techniques were documentations, observations, and interviews. Data were analyzed in the form of a descriptive study. The results of the study were in the form of an overview of the online teaching and learning process related to contents, digital platforms, constraints and materials delivered during online lectures and student responses to online lectures as many as 83.3% of the students prefer offline learning and only 16.7% online learning. During the online learning process there were various feelings felt by students, including: 46.7% of students felt bored, 26.7% felt normal, 13.3% felt challenging, 6.7% were disappointing and 6.6% were pleasant. Based on this, it can be concluded that online lectures are still a new experience for students because they are not used to carrying out online lectures completely and thoroughly.
