The purpose of this research is to see how the implementation and what challenges exist in the online learning. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. To find data, researchers used the observation method on the online media used. In practice, the teacher, in this case the tutor, provides learning materials that can be downloaded by students, leads discussions and gives assignments and also provides feedback and corrections asynchronously on the available web. Meanwhile, students need to be active in opening the media and following the activity as directed by the tutor. In language learning, there is a need for clarity in communication. In the context of online teaching, it will be a challenge because tutors and students do not meet face-to-face; only through the media or the web. Teaching translation needs to communicate a lot aspects such the translation process and the linguistic aspects. Since it is asynchronous learning that is learning through the web, both students and the tutor cannot communicate directly. Tutors and students have their own advantages and disadvantages on it.
